Meet Our Bishop

Introduction:

Name: Dintoe Stephen Letloenyane
Date of Birth: 28 August 1963
Place of Birth: Kroonstad, Free State, South Africa

I am a born and bred Anglican. I was brought up by my Anglican Grandparents who are both deceased. My Late Grandfather was a Sub-Deacon for over 50 years at the Resurrection Church in Kroonstad, and my late Grandmother was a Mothers Union member for over 40 years at the same church.

I am a Husband and a Father

My wife is Maureen Zanele Letloenyane is the Deputy Director of the Department of Water Affairs in Bloemfontein. We have been married since 1997. She loves music and singing, watching stage theatre performances, enjoys socializing and meeting new people and loves spending time with our family.

My Children:
Dintle, my daughter is 13 years old and is in Grade 7 at St Michael’s Girls School in Bloemfontein. She loves swimming and catwalk modeling and enjoys reading.

Dimpho, my son is 10 years old and is in Grade 4 at St Andrew’s Boys School in Bloemfontein. He plays rugby, cricket, hockey and soccer. He loves swimming and playing the guitar and drums. He is fascinated by technology and loves taking part in church activities.

I also have an adopted daughter, Amanda Ngqungwana, who is 16 years old. She is at Rosenhof Girls’ School and originates from the Eastern Cape. She visits and stays with us during certain weekends and school vacations.

My Interests and Passions:
I Enjoy reading
I am a sports lover, an ardent soccer fan
I Love listening to all kinds of good music
I Love spending time with my family

My Journey as an Anglican:
I was Baptised & Confirmed Anglican at the Resurrection Church, Kroonstad. I served as an Altar Server from the age of 10 at the Resurrection Church, Kroonstad. I was encouraged and supported to follow the Priesthood by my grandparents and entire family.

My calling was nurtured by people like the late Frs Albert Mosia, Kiewiet Rasmeni, Abram Lieta, and Peter Roberts. Also the retired Frs John Davis, Freddy Mothibi and Bishop Tom, and many others who are still in circulation today.

My Wife (Zanele) is a Lay Minister, Choir member and served in the Parish Church Council and was once a subscribing member of both the MU and the AWF. She was also the President of AWF whilst in St Peter’s, Zamdela

My Son (Dimpho) is an Altar Server, is in Sunday School & also a member of the Junior Youth Group

My Daughter (Dintle) is in Sunday School & also a member of the Junior Youth Group
